privileges as afforded to the U.S. military veterans to eligible veterans of the Korean Armed Forces who are duly
naturalized citizens of the U.S. and have been recognized by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as discharged
members of allied forces. PASSED 48-0.

SB 1139 (MASTRIANO) Amends Title 51 (Military Affairs) requiring licensed funeral directors, funeral entities or
cemetery companies to notify the county director of veterans affairs within 96 hours of the receipt of the remains of
a deceased serviceperson having legal residence in the county at the time of death. Requires them also to provide
the families of deceased servicepeople with the contact information for the county director of veterans affairs.

while driving, with limited exceptions. Requires anyone under 18 to view distracted driving educational materials
prior to being issued a junior driver’s license; requires one question regarding distracted driving on the driver’s
license exam; provides for sentencing enhancements for certain offenses related to distracted driving; and requires
law enforcement to collect certain data for traffic stops. CONCURRED IN HOUSE AMENDMENTS, AS AMENDED BY
THE SENATE 37-13.

SB 920 (LANGERHOLC) Amends the Sexual Assault Testing and Evidence Collection Act requiring the Pennsylvania
Commission on Crime and Delinquency, in coordination with the State Police, to establish a statewide tracking
system for evidence collected under the sexual assault evidence collection program. PASSED 50-0.

SB 1017 (BOSCOLA) Amends Title 66 (Public Utilities) amending and permanently reauthorizing the Responsible
Utility Consumer Protection Act. Changes include adding water and sewer authorities in cities of the second class;
extending the length of payment arrangements by one year, or six months in the case of a six-month payment
arrangement; increasing the timeframe for when a public utility must provide written termination notification from
10 to 14 days; increasing the duration of a medical certificate from 30 days to up to 60 days and allowing for its
renewal if the customer has met the obligation to make payment on all current undisputed charges and provides
payment towards any undisputed outstanding balance. PASSED 42-8.

SB 269 (GEBHARD) Amends the Tax Reform Code reducing the personal income tax from 3.07% to 2.80%,
eliminating the gross receipts tax on utilities, and providing for a volunteer certified emergency medical technician
tax credit. PASSED 36-14.

the Game Commission (PGC) and the Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC), to design a Pennsylvania Sportsman
registration plate for passenger vehicles. Establishes a $40 fee for the plate, with $14 to be deposited into the new
Youth Hunting and Fishing Restricted Account. Requires money from the account to be allocated evenly to the PGC
and the PFBC to promote youth hunting and fishing activities. PASSED 48-0.
